VOTE FOR THE PERSON

Music, Poem, Politics No Comments

Barack Obama is IRISH!

It should not matter if Obama is Muslim, African or Irish. It should not matter if he is Democrat or Republican, Baptist, Catholic or Atheist. It should not matter if he is man, woman or a little of both. And it should not matter if he is black, white, red or purple.

VOTE FOR THE PERSON

But there is a right wing group that is PNB (Prejudice Narrow Minded Bigot). Unfortunately they believe everybody is like them. They are saying not to vote for Obama because he is a black Muslim, connecting him to terrorists and such. Some will vote for McCain because Palin is a woman. These people are a small minority of PNB, but they might be enough to turn an election in a tight race.

So to them I say, F**k you, Obama is an Irish Christian White Boy and his VP is Catholic, sorry though, he’s not a woman, but I’m sure he’ll save this country anyway. Well maybe he’ll try and I think I’ll leave that one alone. He’s the best of two evils. I say vote for him, that’s who I’m voting for, but whoever you vote for “VOTE FOR THE PERSON!”

Poem of The Day – Nancy and The Rabbit

Music, Poem, Poem of The Day, Relationships No Comments

NANCY AND THE RABBIT
They’ve been together now for 2,000 years
He knows her
And she knows him
Ain’t much to talk about
anymore
In that cave
It gets cold
When the fire don’t burn
But she don’t want to venture from there
There are dinosaurs
not to far from there
She just had to see
Bravely she went out
Wondering what it could be
To here surprise, a rabbit with wings
took her to the sky
But wouldn’t you know it
A flying rabbit can’t live in a cage
And she’s not ready to leave
They meet when they can
He flies her high
and they make plans
Someday maybe
they’ll share a tree house together

This poem is about the same person I wrote “Everybody Knows, I Don?t Know, They Just Do” a previously posted poem.? It’s about me, her husband and her.? In this poem I am the rabbit.? Let me explain that.? This woman was an extremely orgasmic woman.? I took it as a challenge to bring her to her last climax.? In one session I counted 24 orgasms and she could still go on and I was wore out, but I gave it a try, that’s why I’m the rabbit.? That of course will give you a clearer understanding as to why her sickly husband felt he needed my help to make her happy.

You might think it would be so wonderful, but after a time you start to feel jealous that it is so easy for her while you have to work just to have one orgasm, it looses its flavor after a time.

She was a wonderful woman, if she just wasn’t so possessive. I am nobody’s property, and nobody should ever be any body’s property.? I don’t care what society thinks, its wrong.? My evidence, the divorce rate.? A captured animal will always try to escape, and we are all animals, believe it or not!

Call Center Workers Walk Off Job

Dozens Of Call Center Workers Walk Off Job In Protest Rather Than Read McCain Script Attacking Obama

Some three dozen workers at a telemarketing call center in Indiana walked off the job rather than read an incendiary McCain campaign script attacking Barack Obama, according to two workers at the center and one of their parents.

Nina Williams, a stay-at-home mom in Lake County, Indiana, tells us that her daughter recently called her from her job at the center, upset that she had been asked to read a script attacking Obama for being “dangerously weak on crime,” “coddling criminals,” and for voting against “protecting children from danger.”

Williams’ daughter told her that up to 40 of her co-workers had refused to read the script, and had left the call center after supervisors told them that they would have to either read the call or leave, Williams says. The call center is called Americall, and it’s located in Hobart, IN.

“They walked out,” Williams says of her daughter and her co-workers, adding that they weren’t fired but willingly sacrificed pay rather than read the lines. “They were told [by supervisors], `If you all leave, you’re not gonna get paid for the rest of the day.”

The daughter, who wanted her name withheld fearing retribution from her employer, confirmed the story to us. “It was like at least 40 people,” the daughter said. “People thought the script was nasty and they didn’t wanna read it.”

A second worker at the call center confirmed the episode, saying that “at least 30″ workers had walked out after refusing to read the script.

“We were asked to read something saying [Obama and Democrats] were against protecting children from danger,” this worker said. “I wouldn’t do it. A lot of people left. They thought it was disgusting.”

This worker, too, confirmed sacrificing pay to walk out, saying her supervisor told her: “If you don’t wanna phone it you can just go home for the day.”

The script coincided with this robo-slime call running in other states, but because robocalling is illegal in Indiana it was being read by call center workers.

Representatives at Americall in Indiana, and at the company’s corporate headquarters in Naperville, Illinois, didn’t return calls for comment.

Rice: Stevens should be removed from committees

Local news, News No Comments

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OKLAHOMA CITY ? Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Andrew Rice this afternoon called on Jim Inhofe to support immediate expulsion Alaska Senator Ted Stevens of his committee assignments in the U.S. Senate.? Stevens, the longest serving Republican Senator in United States history, was found guilty today on seven felony charges for making false statements on his financial disclosure forms.

“A U.S. Senator convicted of seven felonies should not be allowed to remain on committees that control and recommend the expenditure of taxpayer money,” Rice said. “Actions have consequences, and I call on Jim Inhofe to put Oklahoma taxpayers before his political party and urge Stevens be removed from those committees.”

Rice also called for Inhofe and Senators of both political parties to stand united in opposition to a pardon of Stevens by President Bush.

“Senator Stevens was found guilty by a jury of his peers, and a Bush pardon would send a signal that our elected officials in Washington are above the law,” Rice said.? “Enough is enough.? Oklahomans are tired of Washington being controlled by the special interests and greedy politicians who don’t know right from wrong.”

MY MISS ANNIE

Oh my Miss Annie
She's my lady
She laughs
She cries
She lives
She dies
And doesn't want to know why
She loves me with a cup of coffee
Clean house and a neatly made bed
Someone to hold in my arms at night
My Miss Annie is not greedy
All she ever wanted
was to be wanted
All she ever needed
was to be needed
Why do we make her hurt
Why do we make her ashamed
She doesn't want to be anybody
She doesn't want to be somebody
She just wants to belong
to someone
who will hold her in the night

I wrote this about my ex while I was married to her. ?She was not a career woman. ?Did not have no wish to be such. ?A women who wishes to keep her family and home happy, nothing to wrong with that. ?But this was a time of women’s liberation which meant that a women could not depend upon a man for her?livelihood?and was expected to find her way and stand on her own two feet. ?For those women who did otherwise, like my ex, they were thought of as traitors.

Dear Blog #4

Dear Blog

Today I saw the dentist. That might not be a big deal for some people. But the last time I saw a dentist was 1992, and that was before I was discharged out of the Navy. You are required to see a dentist before they let you go.

The Navy really messed up my teeth. First of all, if they thought you might get a cavity, they put a filling there whether you needed it or not. so I have a lot of unnecessary fillings, and, when they cleaned my teeth for the first time. The woman who cleaned my teeth must have gotten into a fight with her boyfriend or something and was taking it out on me. She tore my mouth up something terrible and my gums became infected. When I went back, they said what is the problem, I said my gums are infected and they laughed at me, but when they looked and saw how bad it was, they said, my God what did we do to you. I have grooves in all my teeth where she just polished the enamel right off.

So it looks like now after not seeing a dentist for 16 years that I might have a couple cavities so I have to see a dentist. When I went to look for a dentist with my insurance company, they asked, do you want a female dentist or a male dentist. I thought, if I’m going to have someone sticking their hands in my mouth, I would prefer it be a woman rather than a man. Surprisingly there are a lot of women dentist nearby, so I looked to see if I could find a picture of them, I thought I’d pick out the most beautiful dentist. No luck, no pictures. So I picked out one randomly. I told my wife and she said I was a dirty old man. You know I don’t think that is an accurate description. I’m an older man who has realized the more important things in life, that would be more accurate.

Well anyways. It turns out the dentist I picked I would say was about 24 years old, blond hair and green eyes. I decided that while she worked on my teeth I would look straight into her eyes and she would get right in there and I could feel her breasts up against the side of my face. I could easily ignore the fact that she was drilling holes in my teeth to replace one bad filling and add two more. That was fun, I really enjoyed that, and I have to go back, can’t wait, they have to do a crown on the other side. I don’t care what you might think, I have just learned that it is better to stop and smell the flowers and that’s what I’m doing, smelling the flowers.

It isn’t all about sex like you might think, because when you get older, sex really isn’t that easy anymore, no, you just enjoy the beautiful things and the beautiful feelings, that’s all. It’s all good, I thank God for such pleasures. And while I was looking into her eyes I was telling her she must be an artist working on my teeth. It takes artistic talent I’m sure.

So smell the flowers and enjoy what you can, that’s what I say, and that comes from years of learning.

Yes You were important to me What I can't understand Is why you were afraid To be important to me Yes I know You had to be you You couldn't be me But I didn't expect you to be A bird has got to be free Just taking a rest You came to me I didn't expect You or me To make a nest We're out of season But not without reason No I don't know why I was important to you or you to me or why you were so afraid to let go Freely By: Roger Harkness ************************

Someone today said they liked my poetry, so I figure I better get back to work getting my poems up here.

I had told you that I had written several poems about the air traffic controller in Antarctica back in I guess 1987, this is just another one.

From The Mailbox – Now You Can Take Action To Prevent Another Stolen Election

ACTION ITEM, From The Mail Box No Comments

PROTEST AGAINST MACHINE, OTHER SHORTAGES

No More Stolen Elections! has been carefully monitoring the potential ballot and capacity shortages that voters will encounter when they arrive at the polls on November 4th.? TrueVote.us, one of our coalition partners, is working with us to allow you to simply go to their site and quickly send a message to the election officials of states where we already know this will be a problem.

In 2004 tens of thousands of voters were denied their right to vote in Ohio when election officials provided inadequate voting machines in African American communities.? Some people waited in line to vote for longer than 12 hours.? Many thousands of others gave up and did not vote.? This alone may have been enough to change the outcome of the 2004 election.

Well, it’s happening again. A recent report indicated that college-age and African American precincts in Florida, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia will not have sufficient numbers of voting machines or election staff to handle the number of voters expected on Election Day.

What you can do:

Help us to let these officials know that tens of thousands of people are watching their actions and documenting what occurs on Election Day. Some of us have already written to them (click here to read about it). Even if you do not live in these states it is important for these officials to hear from you.?They need to know they will be held accountable for their actions.

Click and send a letter to the governor, congressional delegation (House and Senate), the secretary of state as well as election administrators where questions have been raised about the adequacy of the number of voting machines and staff.

Hi folks,

I’m writing to pass along my personal account of what happened Wednesday night at the final presidential debate. Myself, nine other veterans and five of our civilian supporters were arrested during a non-violent action at Hofstra University prior to the final presidential debate.

During the demonstration, Police recklessly charged horses onto the sidewalk and into a crowd of non-violent veterans and civilian demonstrators resulting in the breaking of one Iraq vet’s cheekbone (who was then arrested and initially refused medical treatment by the police) and the breaking of another Iraq vet’s foot.
Please read through my account of the events and join me in condemning the Nassau County Police Department’s egregious actions? and calling on Obama and McCain to do the same, as well answer the questions they refused to hear from us Wednesday.

Here is a link to video from the event in which you can clearly see horses charging the sidewalks and our veterans being trampled: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6062818589753315884&hl=en
Additionally, here is a video containing audio from a wireless microphone in which police officers blatantly disrespect an Iraq war veteran not knowing they were being recorded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eupU-StpCqM

As well,? here are the links to the Obama and McCain websites should you feel so moved to contact them:

ivaw1.pngSee the following websites to contact each candidate!

And feel free to pass this e-mail on to any and all of your other contacts. Let’s get this out there and give people a chance to support their troops.

Peace and Solidarity,
