Poem of The Day – A Prophet On The Radio

A Prophet On The Radio

A want to be a song dancer
A star flier
Go higher

A prophet on the radio
Painting pictures on a TV screen

Making the scene
That has only been said
But never heard

Let me sing to you
Showing you how I feel it
You may never have heard it
Let me show it
I think I know it

A prophet on the radio
Painting pictures on a TV screen

I wrote this poem I think around 1976. It’s about the songs you hear on the radio that cause pictures to flow over your mind. Some of this music can be very prophetic.
