My experience is: If someone believes you can’t make them stop believing no matter what you say or do.
If someone does not believe you cannot make them believe no matter what you say or do.
You cannot prove or disprove that God exists, it’s a fools argument and only fools argue it. Either you believe or you don’t and in the end after we breath our last breath, then will we know for sure.
But I don’t think God really cares what we believe or don’t. Somehow religion has moralised beliefs. As if beliefs are greater than actions. But I don’t believe that. I think when we are judged, we will be judged for our actions and not our beliefs. I strongly believe that there are atheists who will receive great rewards in heaven for there good works and think themselves unworthy because they never believed, while there will be believers who will be judged to lower heavens or even death being guilty for the evil they have done and yet think it unfair because they have always believed. Alfred’s Song
The page of truth we do not speak
We speak only of the pages edge
Who will cross the page
Realise its hight and depth
No one
It has never been done
The truth in the sky is hidden
by an artificial light
Sunshine relieves the pain
of the freezing rain
And at times seems insane
Falling taller than the stone
A frog jumps for no one
A frog jumps alone
And Alfred has written a song
No one will understand

The Seed
My skin is peeled to the bone
No one recognizes me
No one knows me
Can you
Will you
See me
The marrow bleeds
Looking deep inside
Invisible to the naked eye
A seed
But I don’t see
Stone ground is the love I share
No one is fair to me
No one cares for me
Can you
Will you
Help me
The dust blows
Looking deep inside
Invisible to the naked eye
A seed
But I don’t see
An earthquake shatters the truth
The ground knocks out my feet
Vultures circle over me
My stomach growls
But there’s nothing to eat
Looking inside
I see – A Seed
Standing to see better
I watch it sprout within me
Hearing distant thunder
I know there must be water
Washing my feet in a puddle
I feel better
Planted
A fruit vine grows within
I believe
Oh God – Please
Forgive me
Give me this chance
Let me just be a branch
The fruit of the vine becomes me
And overcomes me
Full – I share
Because I care

Fall In Spirit City
Bricks crash through the window
A wrecking ball stops to look
What can it see
Blind eyes just walk by
Just another day in the streets of fall in spirit city
And these streets are so dirty
Awaiting the wind to blow it away
and rain to wash the tears away
Crawling to the future
with so many bills to pay
The water is clean
while the sunshine bleeds
Forgetting the needs
Taxes
The seeds of destruction we are forced to pay
We are superheroes on a tv screen
Hating ourself
when giving in to what’s going around
Can anyone make this right
The eyes are all on us
Please don’t make a fuss
I’m building this wall
one brick at a time
When it crashes down
Will you still be around
Bodies are walking around
But no souls can be found
They just follow the rules
and its just another day in fall in spirit city

Guess This Is Me
I woke up
and found myself in someone else’s shoe
The shoe did not fit
Wondering if I’ll get back to where
my feet belong
Its a long road
A long road to get there
They called out his name
He looked like me
But he wasn’t the same
Where did he come from
and why is he wearing my shoe
She said to me
you put that shoe on
all I could do was shrug
and agree
how can I explain
what I can’t understand
anyway
Jacobs ladder has been rolled down to me
I’m climbing aboard my ship
I’ll be captain of this ship
and I’ll take no lip
We’ll sail towards the one
and reach the end at nights setting sun

Someplace
You can’t stay no place forever
And you can’t say nothing all the time
There comes a time when we all seek understanding
that is the time we learn
When we venture to the top of mountains
Into a place of balance
Peace above the sky

Let It Rain
I know not everybody has earned the right
They hide during the day
and come out at night
Pretend to be your friend
and then turn and bite
But someday
A few may
See the light
Clouds reflect the day light and know without doubt
And for them
Even at night the moon provides a little light
Pleading to us
Don’t leave us behind
Don’t leave us blind
Forgiveness rains down on dry ground
Dormant seeds bring forth life
And in just a day
Colorful flowers bloom everywhere
For all of us to share
Life lives
Take away the rain and the pain never washes away
and life never grows
Do a little rain dance for me
and I’ll say a little prayer for you
In the end
It is we who have won
And all the land
Will be colorful
For everyone

LOVE IS NEVER WRONG
She says rub a little lower
Her heart beats a little faster
I ask are you ok
But you pretend to be sleeping
She undresses for me and lets me see
Then complains
She doesn’t want to be around me
I am the bad one
you are the good one
And I was only good for some fun
Chaos without order
Stab you in the back
Cry on your shoulder
Then tell you to never come over
But I am a good man
and the goodness of me
some will never know
To bad for them
But as for me
I will go on and live long
Knowing I have only loved
and love is never wrong

EYES STRAIGHT
A clouded ski ride
Air planes on the dive
Birds singing for no one
A sticker bush just to your left
and an open pit to the right
Eyes straight
Don’t
I repeat
Don’t turn to the left
or the right
I’ve been deceived to many times
to even be alive
Pretend to be your friend
Then drop you off the end
Think themselves righteous
that they’ve done this
They sing the song of the mocking bird
But I heard
Jesus will return
To judge the haters
back biters
and liers
I’ll be there for that one
Mercy men in arms
Killing themselves with guts
No time for lust
While the good soldier rusts
These are the bad times
when even the good are bad
Makes me sad
I pray for everyone
The good and the bad
I forgive those who hurt me
And fear those who say, “I love you”
I don’t know if they lie
But only look to the sky
A sticker bush just to your left
and an open pit to the right
Eyes straight
Don’t
I repeat
Don’t turn to the left
or the right

Road Lover
You’re caught
in my eyes
Can’t get away
Smiling
your heart goes thump
Just a small push
And you think
you’ll jump
I would
Something inside says
I should not
So I won’t
I’ll just leave
And get up and go
I like the road
It gets me there
And it gets me out of here
It’s a long road
With a tall sky
Lots of questions
Makes you wonder why
You never know
Till you get there
It’s a long way to find out
My hearts glued to the floor board babe
It gets squashed between my foot and the pedal
Pushed against the metal
I’m not really going anywhere
But I just got to get there
Have a home
But I don’t want to be there
when I’m home
Don’t want to leave there
There’s a woman who understands this
Don’t know how she does that
I can’t even explain it
But as she looks me in the eye
She tells me why
Someday – I’ll reach the end
and she knows it
And she’s waiting for me
to get there

I didn’t write many poems when I was a truck driver, but this is one of them as you can tell.
