Thank you again for the Facebook Friending. I was ordained yesterday through Universal Life Church. I am also studying Unity teachings right now. I thought you might find this fascinating if you haven't seen it already.

One of my favorite songs was Cats in Cradle by Harry Chapin, actually his wife wrote it.

But in all honesty, as I think back on it, I think my father was just as hard on me as I was on him. It all comes around.

Roger, granting forgiveness, even when the offending party hasn't apologized or asked for forgiveness...well, it isn't really about the offending party, the person who did you wrong. For me, forgiving someone has always been about lifting the weight from my own shoulders, regardless of whether or not the person asked for it or deserves it. Forgiveness is a FREEING thing for the person who chooses to give it. I don't know what your father did, but I do know that my heavenly father forgave me for sins I never even thought I would commit. He forgave me even when I wouldn't have anything at all to do with him. So I try to do what he wants, and grant forgiveness to those who have wronged me. Again, it's not about them. It's about the freedom I feel once I have forgiven. Just some thoughts I wanted to share after I read your post. Sorry about your dad.

No I didn't take the picture. The picture was posted by fatboyke on Flickr. If you click on the picture it takes you to his page.

That's the first I've heard about Inhofe agreeing that global warming is caused by human activity. No brainer, but still there are many who believe it is a hoax created by the media to allow big businesses to profit further. While the fat cats have managed to find ways to profit off this calamity, it never the less is one of many calamities facing our world.

Solid poem - GREAT photograph. Where did you get it? Is it yours?

Speaking of the way the trees are growing, I have an Oklahoma politics tip about Senator Jim Inhofe and global warming.

It seems that, by signing his name onto S. 228, Senator Inhofe has finally acknowledged, in a quiet way, that global warming exists and is caused by human activities that emit greenhouse gases. Acceptance of this climate science is referred to right there in the bill.

Article about it: http://thatsmycongress.com/index.php/2011/02/01/4692/

Are people talking about this in Oklahoma?

Saint Patrick's Battalion was my favorite song of the night. Rovics is first class narrative songwriter. I wish more people in OKC had taken the opportunity to come out and enjoy his concert. It's hard to have this type of event here if the community doesn't support it. Hope he has better luck in Tulsa.

The one and only true living God does not require a blood or animal sacrifice anymore more. That was done away with when Jesus died on the cross and His blood was shed for our sins and
"He said it is finished" John 20:30.
Read the Bible it explains it very clearly or better yet go to a New Testament bible believeing church.
The Bible is a love letter written by God to His children and only they can understand it. If you can't comprehend it...its because you have been reading someone eles mail.
