One True God, Religion, Scripture and Church

Just Me, Religion No Comments

For the sake of logic, lets say that there is one true god and that there is one true scripture and I’ll even add one true religion and even narrow it down to one true church.

Now - go find it. To you I say, “good luck.” Been there, done that, spent many years searching.

I found that though there maybe one true God, I don’t know what this God is and anyone who claims they do is a liar. The true scripture is written in your heart and what you read on paper only confirms what you already know.

The true religion is belief. Belief is very powerful, it is a force you don’t wish to reckon with. So find something you can believe and believe it strongly. You can accomplish much. Respect other people’s beliefs even if they may differ from yours because belief is powerful and you don’t want to destroy another person’s beliefs. So belief is the true religion.

And the true church is fellowship with other believers, that’s the true church.

The false religion, well that’s when you think you’re right and everybody else is wrong, because you don’t know that, you can’t prove it, you only believe that, and that’s a bad belief. And if you are wrong and you probably are, you are in big trouble, because as you judge others, so shall you be judged by the one true God when it’s all said and done. Why do I say that. Because there is a verse in the bible that explains that we all see things thru a smoky glass and are unable to see it clearly. I haven’t read all of the Koran, but I’m sure there is such a verse like it in the Koran.

This is the way I figure it. THE TRUTH, you know, God, Heaven, etc, etc. is SO BIG that our little tiny brains cannot hold it all. So what little part we have discovered and accepted is our little truth and it is just as valid as everyone else’s little truth and there might be a few false hoods mixed in here and there but I don’t think anyone one of us is smart enough to really know the difference. Those who think they know are only fooling themselves by trying to fool others, but nobody really knows.

I have a saying. A wise man say’s I wonder and a fool says I know.

Jesus told us to love God with everything we got and like it he said to love others like you would yourself and this will complete all the law. It really isn’t rocket science. If you hurt somebody then you’ve done something wrong because you hurt one of God’s greatest creations and that’s disrespectful to the one creator. So the right thing to do is to not hurt anyone and help those who are hurt and that truth you will find in your heart and their my friend you will find the true religion and the true scripture.

Falun Gong Outlawed By China

History, News, Religion No Comments

Practitioners of Falun Gong are tortured to death and then their organs are taken under the guise of an autopsy to determine death. The organs are sold on the open market, the proceeds being recouped by the government. I suppose to finance the elimination of the Falun Gong movement.

A report called “Bloody Harvest” had been sent to me over a year ago. I posted it on my bravenet blog not knowing really what it was. But I recently came across a forum post on Captain Cynic which provided more information.

What Do The Muslims Believe?

Religion No Comments

From a Muslim friend of mine:

Dear friends ,

Muslim do believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) was the The awaited Messiah as prophesied in OT but u will note that Jews were not waiting for a God who will be a Messiah but a prophet . Muslims believe that Jesus (pbuh) was a mighty prophet of God .

  • Muslims love Jesus. We also love Abraham, Moses, and Noah, to name just a few other Prophets Muslims revere. May God’s peace be upon all of these great messengers of God.

  • Muslims also love the mother of Jesus, the Virgin Mary. We believe she was a pious and noble woman chosen over all of the women of the world.

  • Muslims believe that Jesus was born miraculously of a virgin mother and no father. His birth is miraculous like the birth of Adam, the first human being, who was created with neither mother nor father.

  • Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God. God is so powerful and self-sufficient that He does not need a son or any kind of partner.

  • In Arabic Bible the name for God is Allah. Therefore all Arab Christian call God Allah as Muslim do as well.

  • Jesus did not die on the cross. Rather, God saved  him as his enemies were confused about him. Jesus was taken up by God to Heaven.

  • Jesus is called Isa (pronounced Eesa) in Arabic.

  • Jesus performed miracles by the Will of God, like healing the blind and those with leprosy.

  • Jesus prayed to the same God as all Prophets and we pray to.

  • Jesus will return before the end of the world.

The Politics of PRP - Poetry, Religion and People

Just Me No Comments

I destroyed my blog AGAIN. For the third time now I find I am redoing it.  But I think I found a nicer theme.

They say to become a popular blogger, you have to blog on just one thing, but you see, there are two kinds of people; those who are technical and notice all the little details but fail to see the big picture; and then there are people like me who see the big picture but fails to notice all the details.

In an attempt to be technical I have decided that this is a PRP blog.  While that might sound technical, the truth is, this blog is about Poetry, Religion and People and I would say, that about covers the big picture.

So as I jump around testing linux, sharing gardening tips and telling love stories, complaining about the Bush administration and the do nothing Democrats.  Sharing my poem of the day.  Wordpress is very good allowing you to use catagories and providing a really good search engine for your blog.  So if you came here looking for something in particular, you might just find it here, but you’ll have to look for it and hopefully it will be there and I won’t destroy this blog again.
